Still Hungry!

I just finished the time suck that is The Hunger Games Trilogy, and am now wondering what to read for the rest of my life.

The books were a perfect Christmas gift from my SIL, but right now, I sort of hate her.

Hate might be too strong of a word. I’m really just so sad that it’s over and now am at a total loss as to what to read next.

Any suggestions?

Hey, thanks for coming by. Do NOT buy that can o' frosting. You'll regret it. Maybe.

Anyway – I'm so behind on reading, but do have  this trilogy in my kindle.  I'm still on book 2 of the Girl with the dragon tattoo…I'm slow. But can't wait to get to this series.

I'm not a reader, so no help here. Though it seems that everyone loved Hunger Games!

I read the first two Dragon Tattoo ones as well and loved them. I might just pick up the third since I enjoyed them and really want to finish the series.

I might just have to mourn this one a bit longer though. It was Just. That. Good.

I can't believe you can't help me in my time of need. If you ever decide to read something, start with this…it really is impossible to put down.

I guess I'll just have to wait for Kristin to stop by.

    I'll start another book soon.

That's so funny because I liked the first one the best.

Life As Wife just left a comment with other book suggestions, so stop back by and pick one of them when you're finished.

I have heard Matched recommended by lovers of The Hunger Games.  I only read the first one, so far, but I enjoyed it a lot (The Hunger Games; I haven't read Matched.)

Let's start a support group. I was in a funk for a week when I finished them. I just ramdomly loaded something from the library onto my e-reader. But book club is next week and I fear it will make me sad all over again.

Do yourself a favor and get the books today. Seriously, I'm totally not one to fall for the hoopla surrounding most of these books, but I loved reading these books!

And I have no idea if it'll be any good, but I'm going to watch the shit out of that movie. 🙂

I know it's an old book, but I was recommend it when people ask for suggestions. To Kill a Mockingbird. Best book ever!

I have a whole load of good novels for you to read but I'm not sure if they are your taste or not but here goes – all of them are “run, do not walk” to the store and get 'em reads: Persepolis by Marjane Satrapi, History of Love by Nicole Krauss, What is the What by Dave Eggers. You've probably already read The Help. Also loved The Elegance of the Hedgehog, Kite Runner, and The Professor and the Madman. Oh I've got more if you want 'em…don't even get me started! Also I'm on Good Reads with thousands of suggestions. PS: Are you sorry you asked, Marina? (-:

I had the same problem when I finished them, and I don't have any suggestions. I finished them and then decided to force my husband to listen to me read them to him aloud. We just finished Catching Fire last night – just as good the second time!

I have those books sitting on my dresser and I'm scared to start because I know I won't want to quit once I start.  Even ignoring the children it would take me longer than 2 weeks to finish the trilogy – I just need to finish before the movie comes out.

No, I'm not sorry I asked. I've read some of your suggestions already, but would love to counter with You Shall Know Our Velocity, by Dave Eggers…especially if you like his other work. I don't particularly, but absolutely loved this one.

I will definitley to look into some of your other recommendations.
